After racing Nascar in Ta Ra Rum Pum, Saif Ali Khan is ready with a pacy and pulsating thriller called Race. Going with the rate at which Saif is changing his looks and style at the drop of a hat, it won’t be a surprise if anyone cast him in the title role of The Saif Chameleon. The city tabloids were recently flooded with pictures of Saif’s new look for Tashan. But the man looks equally dashing in his makeover for Race.Race comes from the stable of Abbas-Mustan and is obviously expected to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Even though it’s being headed for a release later this year, it has started creating ripples all over. Added to its tight and sleek plot, the icing on the top was the visit on the sets by international designer and fashion guru Jean Paul Gaultier, who was in Mumbai recently. On his insistence, a meeting was arranged to meet up with Pataudi Jr, at the Yash Raj Studios to ‘witness’ an item number of the film that as being picturised on Saif along with Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif. News has it that Gautier was so tad impressed with the progress of the song that he told the directors not to call for a break

Richard Gere, who provoked a hullabaloo in India by kissing Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty at an AIDS awareness rally in early April this year, has finally apologized for his obscene act.

Initially, Gere was disagreeing from the whole thing and he refused to say sorry. But now, he’s singing a new tune. Richard Gere offered an apology to India because Shilpa, Gere kiss sparked protests in India.

Gere asserted:

What is most important to me is that my intentions as an HIV/AIDS advocate be
made clear, and that my friends in India understand that it has never been, nor
could it ever be, my intention to offend you.”If that has happened, of course it
is easy for me to offer a sincere apology

Jaipur court also called it “an obscene act” when a local lawyer filed a complaint.

I think Gere did smart work by apologizing to Indians because under Indian law, a person convicted of public obscenity faces up to three months in prison, a fine or both.

Vogue, known as the world bible for fashion was launched in India. Vogue India's privileged guests were flown into Jodhpur from Mumbai & Delhi on private Kingfisher charters.

First she was linked with John Abraham during Salaam-e-Ishq and now she is being attached to her Heyy Babyy and Bhool Bhulaiya co-star Akshay Kumar , but Vidya Balan says that she is still looking for her Mr. Right.

Vidya is unfazed and rues about the scarcity of eligible bachelors in filmdom.

"Yes, I'm young and single and most certainly looking forward to being in love. Unfortunately, both John and Akshay are attached. And that creates an embarrassment more for them than for me. So that's that...

"Come to think of it, where are the eligible single guys in our industry? I'll have to look elsewhere," Vidya told a news agency.

Commenting upon her link-up with Akshay, she said: "I'm quite prepared for stories to filter back. I've gone through this before. During 'Salaam-e-Ishq' they linked me with John Abraham because people saw us having so much fun together. Now there'll be gossip because Akshay and I had a great time."

Vidya, who debuted opposite Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt in Parineeta , has just returned after four months of hectic shooting.

"Akshay is a major prankster. I had to be on tenterhooks all through the two schedules. One never knew what Akshay was up to. My one ambition in life is to get even with him for all the pranks he has played with me. Shooting has never been so much fun. I didn't even realise how these two long schedules for two completely contrasting films passed by," Vidya said.
